Lunan Bay Shetland & Angus Alpaca, Scottish, Regenerative, Natural Fibre, Undyed, 100g, Taupe, New Season

Our new season batts are here!  Boddin Batts are our incredibly soft batts are produced using rooed Shetland wool from our own sheep, from our regenerative farm in Angus, Scotland, blended with fine Alpaca fibre specially selected from small scale farms in Angus.

Named after Boddin of Lunan Bay, the special place we call, “Home”.

Homegrown in Scotland

As nature friendly farmers, we adopted regenerative agriculture principles to produce our fibre that works in harmony with our animals, nature and our treasured environment. We tend to our herd of 40 Scottish Shetland Sheep along the stunning coastline of Lunan Bay of Scotland. Our flock colour is very diverse, and includes grey, black, white, moorit  and fawn.

We source the finest fibre fleeces from Alpaca herds from small scale, high welfare producers in Angus, Scotland.

Every year we harvest our Shetland fleeces by rooing, a gentle way of  traditional hand harvesting the fibre. Pure bred Shetland sheep lose their fleece naturally in response to changes in the temperature.

Our Shetland and Alpaca fleeces are mill washed and blended at artisan mill, The Border Mill in Scotland. The resultant rovings are then meticulously hand-carded again by expert hand spinner, Fred Porchez of Wish Ewe Were Here based in Angus.
